This policy explains what information Her Delight UK collects when you visit this website or contact us about an order, and how we use it. We keep it simple: we only use your details to make and deliver your order, and we never sell them.
Who we are
Her Delight UK is a home bakery based in Gillingham, Kent. We are responsible for your personal data under the UK GDPR. You can contact us at herdelightbakes@gmail.com or on +44 7918 849910.
Information we collect
- When you place or enquire about an order (by WhatsApp, phone, email, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok or our order form): your name, contact details, the date you need your order, delivery address or postcode, design ideas, and any allergy or dietary information you share.
- Our order form does not send or store anything on this website. When you press the button, it opens WhatsApp with your message written out, and nothing is sent until you press send in WhatsApp.
- Website analytics, only if you accept cookies: how you found the site, which pages and buttons you used, your approximate location (town or city), and your device and browser type. This is collected by Google Analytics.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry, agree your design and price, and make and deliver your order (to perform our contract with you).
- To handle allergy information safely when you tell us about it (with your consent).
- To understand how people use our website so we can improve it (only with your consent to analytics cookies).
- To keep basic order records we are required to keep for tax and accounting (legal obligation).
Cookies
We only set analytics cookies if you click Accept analytics on our cookie banner. Without your consent, Google Analytics runs in a restricted mode that does not set cookies. You can change your choice at any time using Cookie settings at the bottom of every page.
- _ga and _ga_* (Google Analytics): distinguish visitors and sessions. Kept for up to 2 years. Only set if you accept.
- hd-cookie-consent (stored in your browser): remembers your cookie choice so we don't ask every visit. It is not sent to us.
Who we share it with
- Google (Google Analytics), which processes analytics data for us if you accept cookies. See Google's privacy policy.
- WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook (Meta) and TikTok, when you choose to message us on those apps. Their own privacy policies apply to those conversations.
- Our website host, which keeps short-term technical logs (such as IP addresses) to run and protect the website.
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK, using safeguards approved under UK data protection law.
How long we keep it
We keep order conversations and details for as long as needed to complete your order and handle any questions afterwards, and order records for up to 6 years for tax purposes. Analytics data is kept by Google for up to 14 months.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, object to how we use it, or withdraw consent at any time. Email us at herdelightbakes@gmail.com. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
